Setting Goals is an Activity strictly related to the Research/Discovery of a Sense of Purpose in our Lives.

Purpose is the main Fuel to Create Meaningful Goals and to Achieve more Goals, Motivation and Happiness in Life and, as in a Positive Circle, Happiness and Motivation will bring New Goals to Reach Up and Purpose to Fulfill.

Goal Setting can Be also Considered a Creative Activity, in fact, according to Jim Rohn (Entrepreneur and Motivational Speaker) Philosophy “Goal Setting gives you the Chance to Experience the Power of your Imagination and It Involves thinking about the Future”.

Now Take your Time to Free Your Mind, Make a Brainstorming and Start writing down your Goals List. Write down at Least 10 Meaningful Goals according to your main Purposes from which you will select the more Effective ones using the Strategy of the S.M.A.R.T. Goals.

Turning Goals into S.M.A.R.T. Goals.

Turning Goals into S.M.A.R.T. Goals or S.M.A.R.T. Objectives is like building a Compass that gives us Focus, Direction, and makes Decision Making Easier.

S.M.A.R.T. is the Acronym of Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time Related:

• Specific. Goals that are too vague and general are hard to Achieve. Goals that work at best generally include Specifics such as ‘Who, Where, When, Why and What’. The more Focused your Energy is on the Details (more the Goal is Clear) more Power you Generate for their Realization!

• Measurable. Ideally Goals should include a quantity of ‘how much’ or ‘how many’ (for example: drinking 2 litres of water per day or Tun one Hour per day, etc). Put Concrete Numbers in your Goals to know if you’re on track.

Achievable. Goals should be Challenging, but Achievable. Goals work best when they are neither too Easy or too Difficult. In many cases setting harder Goals can lead to better outcomes, but only as long as the person has the Ability to Achieve them. Setting Goals which are too difficult can be discouraging and lead to giving up altogether.

Relevant. The Goal should seem Important and Beneficial to the person who is assigned the Goal. Try to Answer: “Why do I Want what you Want?”

Time-Related. To have a Deadline can Motivate efforts and Prioritize the Tasks above other distractions.
